The Caperton and Decker's Creek Trails offer 51 miles of easily accessible trails, extending into three counties. The Trail is ideal for walking, running, and biking for people of all ages.

Or maybe water sports is your game. Nearby Cheat Lake is a man-made 1,800 acre lake offering boating, swimming and fishing.

Golf courses throughout the county will challenge you including two championship courses at the Lakeview Scanticon Resort and Conference Center, and other public and private courses around the county.

There is history, hunting, and horseback riding. There is camping, canoeing and Coopers Rock. There is whitewater, woods and whittling. The list is endless.
